keeping warm in winter
All our homes have double the insulation currently required by the building regulations. You shouldn't need a background heating system, but psychologically a source of heating can give comfort, so we have installed a small but efficient condensing boiler that operates off the mains gas supply. In some of the houses this heats standard wall radiators, in others, at the owners request, we have installed under floor heating. Wood burning stoves have also been fitted for one or two owners who wanted the option to reduce the demand on their boiler and have the focus of a real fireplace in their living room.
