Stawell is a pretty hamlet
nestling in the lea of the Poulsdon Hills with wide sandy beaches and
the Quantock and Mendip hills close by. The M5 and Bridgwater - a thriving
town attracting many new businesses and major retail parks - are only
a 10-minute drive away.
Bridgwater has an abundance of pubs, restaurants and clubs and many amateur
dramatic and theatre groups which perform frequently in the Town Hall
and Arts Centre. It has a strong live music scene as well as Sports Associations,
Clubs, and Health & Fitness centres. Bridgwater Bay has some of the
largest wetlands in the country, which are full of wildlife and treasured
by birdwatchers.
